Hey there, I’m Sandra, the heart behind Tomé Vidal Art. I’m an abstract minimalist artist, and my artwork is an expression of everything in my life.

 

STACKS OF PAPER, LAYERS OF INSPIRATION                                                             

Growing up, my dad often took me to different factories, where I’d get to play while he worked on the machinery. My favourite place to visit was the paper factory. As a child, I was lucky enough to jump around on huge stacks of paper, climb cardboard tubes, and even lay down on massive rolls of kitchen ply. I felt like the luckiest kid in the world! To this day, paper and art supplies still bring me so much joy, so I guess I’m a pretty lucky adult too.

I’ve always been inspired by my surroundings, constantly doodling and observing patterns around me. As a kid, I loved building circuit boards with my dad and noticing all the fascinating designs. Later, I studied Art as a teenager – where I found freedom in self-expression – and then went on to study Architecture, learning about precision in lines, patterns, and composition in depth.

 

A DANCE OF CONNECTION AND CREATION                                                                   

I’ve always felt connected to nature and people. Growing up in Africa to working across various continents, the beauty and diversity of the world (from the people to the landscapes and the tiny details) all around have always been a source of awe for me!

Art has been a part of me since I was a child. It’s allowed me to feel more deeply and connect with myself, others, and the world around me. I care deeply and believe in respecting and nurturing our surroundings.

I value kindness. I’ve learnt to love awareness and vulnerability. Hand-in-hand with art, I’ve dedicated myself to teaching and self-development, … and I love to keep learning and sharing.

In my artwork, I am inspired by emotions and aim to capture the feeling of human connection and the connection to nature, creating abstract pieces that invite you to contemplate, feel and open your heart. Each artwork is both a reflection of my experiences and emotions (making every piece unique) and a bridge to your inner Self, keeping us all connected.

 

TRANSFORMING SPACES, AWAKENING THE SOUL                                                         

Art isn’t just about creating for me—it’s about finding deeper meaning and using art to make a positive impact on the world. This is what brings life its vibrancy and purpose: creating positive change and having a meaningful impact.

Each piece is designed to transport you to a place of calm, where you can let go of “whatever you need to” and just be, encouraging you feel something real, something meaningful. It’s not about perfection, it’s about connection—with the art, with yourself, and with the world around you.

Therefore, it brings me great joy that my artwork has been sold and collected globally, and can be found in private collectors' homes, hotels, and corporate spaces worldwide.

 

 

ART THAT CONNECTS US                                             

All of my artwork is crafted with love and joy in my studio in Lisbon, Portugal (currently in 2025), where I live with my wonderful little dog Lana. She is naturally curious and tries to “help” in everything I do.
